Blooming Good Bunch

To build class pride, display this flowery artwork with the title "We're a Blooming Good Bunch."

Materials:

  • Westcott 5” Kids scissors
  • close-up photo
  • paper cupcake liner
  • 9" x 12" light blue construction paper
  • 2" x 9" green construction paper strip
  • green construction paper scraps
  • crayons or markers

Hint: To turn the artwork into a Mother's Day card, staple another piece of construction paper to the back. Then invite students to write about ways that their families have helped them bloom and grow!

Blooming Good Bunch Step 1

Step 1
Fringe-cut the green construction paper strip (grass) and glue it to the blue construction paper.

Blooming Good Bunch Step 2

Step 2
Trim the photo to fit inside the cupcake liner (ask your teacher for help). Fringe-cut the cupcake liner and glue the photo inside. Use the green paper scraps to make a stem and leaves.

Step 3
Glue the flower on the blue construction paper. Use crayons or markers to add details.

Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
