Collection: A Long Book
Kids practice identifying long-vowel sounds with this fun cut-and-paste booklet.
Materials:
- Westcott 5” Kids scissors
- 6" x 18" construction paper strip
- markers
- magazines
- glue

Step 1
Accordion-fold the paper strip to make six sections. In the first section, title the booklet “My Long-Vowel Book.”
Step 2
On each remaining page, write a vowel. Then cut pictures from magazines. Glue each cutout beside the long vowel that corresponds with the name of the picture.
Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
