Exploring Inventions Step 1

Step 1
Cut the center from each paper plate. Color the rim of each plate.

Exploring Inventions Step 2

Step 2
On the tagboard, draw or write three important facts related to an invention and its inventor. Cut them out.

Exploring Inventions Step 3

Step 3
Staple a two-inch length of yarn to the top of each cutout. Then position each cutout in the center of a paper plate rim; staple the yarn to the rim so the cutout is suspended in the middle.

Exploring Inventions step 4

Step 4
Connect the three plates with two of the five-inch yarn pieces, stapling them in place. Loop the remaining yarn piece to make a hanger and staple it to the top plate.

Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
