Collection: Fun Flower-Catchers
Students create tissue paper flowers with this suncatcher—perfect for welcoming spring!
Materials:
- Westcott 5” Kids scissors
- 4.5" x 9" square of Con-Tact covering
- 9" length of yarn
- 4 craft sticks
- tissue paper
- green pipe cleaner
- green paper scraps
- glue
- tape

Step 1
Create flower petals by trimming pieces of tissue paper. Then trim the green paper to make leaves and cut the pipe cleaner to make a flower stem.
Step 2
Cut the Con-Tact covering in half. Peel the backing off one piece and then assemble your flower on the sticky side. Peel the backing off the other piece and press it over the flower.
Step 3
Make a frame with the craft sticks by gluing them along the edges of the Con-Tact covering. Then trim around the craft sticks as needed. Once the glue is dry, tape the string to the back of the project to make a hanger.
Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
