Skate, Glide, Draw

Use music to inspire students as they create this piece of art! Have a CD player ready to play classical music.

Materials:

  • Westcott 5" Kids scissors
  • 9" x 12" dark blue construction paper sheet (pond)
  • construction paper scraps
  • glitter
  • paintbrush

Skate, Glide, Draw Step 1

Step 1
While the music is playing, push the white crayon along the pond with the rhythm. After the music stops, paint a light coat of glue on the pond and sprinkle on glitter.

Skate, Glide, Draw Step 2

Step 2
Cut and glue the paper scraps to create an image of you skating. Add crayon details. Glue the skater to the pond.

Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
