Classroom Activities—Special Me
Isn't it exciting that we're special in different ways? Highlight the strengths in your classroom by having each child complete this confidence-boosting craft. Display the completed projects side-by-side to make a class quilt.
Materials:

- 8" paper square
- white paper
- glue
- markers
Brought to you by Westcott – The World's Favorite Scissors
Step 1
Trim the white paper into a shape that fits onto the paper square. Then glue that shape in place.
Step 2
Near the bottom of the shape, write a sentence about something that makes you unique. Use markers and paper scraps to illustrate the sentence. Draw stitch marks along the outside edge of the project to make it look like a quilt square.
Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
